RCS pricing on RapBooster = a free app plus per-message rates by country and message type, paid from credits. India is among the cheapest markets: ₹0.30 basic, ₹0.45 rich, ₹0.60 conversational. All prices exclude GST.
How RCS is paid for
The RCS app is free on every workspace. Each message you send uses credits, which you buy in packs that never expire; see the pricing page for the packs. The rates below are indicative and approximate, and the credits used per message follow them.

What do basic, rich and conversational mean?
- Basic: text-led messages, similar to an upgraded SMS.
- Rich: includes media like images, rich cards or carousels with buttons.
- Conversational: two-way exchanges where the customer replies and you respond.
Worked examples
Example 1: D2C brand in India, monthly promo
- 8,000 rich carousel messages × ₹0.45 = ₹3,600
- About ₹3,600 of credits before GST
Example 2: education consultant messaging UAE parents
- 3,000 rich messages × ₹1.35 = ₹4,050
- About ₹4,050 of credits before GST
How do you keep RCS costs efficient?
- Buy larger credit packs if you send every month; credits never expire.
- Use rich only when visuals matter. Basic is fine for simple alerts.
- Segment by country and budget international messages separately.
- Plan a second channel (WhatsApp or email) for devices without RCS support, since RapBooster does not fall back to SMS.
RCS vs WhatsApp cost
For Indian audiences, RCS rich messages (₹0.45) are generally cheaper per message than WhatsApp marketing templates (Meta ~₹0.86, billed to you directly by Meta, approx., from 1 Oct 2026). WhatsApp wins on conversations because each number gets 1,000 free service replies a month inside the 24-hour window. Read RCS vs SMS vs WhatsApp.
Budget planner: three typical scenarios
| Scenario | Messages | Type | Rate | Message cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Local retailer, monthly offers (India) | 2,000 | Rich | ₹0.45 | ₹900 |
| D2C brand, weekly drops (India) | 40,000/yr | Rich | ₹0.45 | ₹18,000/yr |
| Education consultant, UAE parents | 6,000/yr | Rich | ₹1.35 | ₹8,100/yr |
All figures exclude GST. There is no plan fee on top, because the app is free.
Frequently missed cost factors
- No SMS fallback: if a phone can't receive RCS, RapBooster does not send an SMS instead, so plan a WhatsApp or email follow-up in markets with lower RCS coverage.
- Conversational pricing: if customers reply and you continue the conversation, those messages are priced as conversational.
- Media production: rich cards need good images or short videos. Plan creative time or use a design service.
- International segmentation: keep country lists separate so a UAE campaign doesn't accidentally include Indian numbers, or the other way round.
How to measure RCS ROI
Track three numbers per campaign: the cost per message delivered, the click-through rate on buttons, and revenue or bookings attributed (use UTM parameters on links). Compare against the same campaign sent by SMS or WhatsApp. Many brands find rich visuals lift engagement enough to justify the higher price per message.
The bottom line
RCS is affordable, especially in India, and the rates are transparent: a free app plus a clear per-country, per-type price paid from credits. Buy a small pack, test a rich campaign, and scale once it's working.
