This Acceptable Use Policy sets the rules for everything you do with RapBooster, especially the messages you send to other people. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions and applies to every workspace owner, member and API user. "We" means the company that operates RapBooster, named under Company information at the end of this page.
1. Consent first
- Send marketing and bulk messages only to people who have agreed to receive them from you, through the channel you use, and keep a record of that consent.
- Do not buy, rent, scrape or harvest lists of phone numbers or email addresses and message them, and do not message people who have not dealt with you.
- Make it easy to opt out, honour every opt-out (such as "STOP" or "unsubscribe") promptly, and never message that person again on that channel unless they opt in again.
- Say clearly who you are in every message. Do not hide or fake the sender.
- Respect quiet hours and the frequency the recipient expects. In India, send promotional messages only within the hours TRAI allows.
2. Channel rules
You must follow the rules of every channel you use through RapBooster:
- WhatsApp Business Platform: Meta's WhatsApp Business terms, Business Messaging Policy and Commerce Policy, including approved templates and Meta's quality limits.
- Linked WhatsApp numbers : these are not an official WhatsApp product. WhatsApp may limit or ban numbers that send in bulk; send only to people who expect your messages and keep to the pacing the app sets. Do not use linked numbers to get around a limit or ban on an official account.
- SMS and voice: the TRAI rules on commercial communications, including registering your entity, senders and templates where they require it, the customer preference (do-not-disturb) register and the rules on promotional calls. Messages sent from your own phones through Messages are sent by you, and your mobile operator's terms apply to them.
- RCS: the RCS providers' business messaging policies.
- Email: anti-spam laws, a working unsubscribe link in bulk email, a valid sender address, and the bulk-sender rules of the major mailbox providers.
3. Prohibited content and activities
You must not use RapBooster to send, store or promote:
- anything illegal, or goods and services that are illegal where they are offered, including drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods and unlicensed gambling, betting, lending, financial or investment schemes;
- fraud, phishing, scams, impersonation, fake offers or deceptive claims, or pyramid and chain schemes;
- malware, or links meant to harm devices or steal data;
- sexually explicit content, or anything that sexualises or endangers children;
- hate speech, harassment, threats, or content that promotes violence or discrimination;
- misinformation likely to cause harm, or content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights; or
- political or election messaging that breaks the Election Commission's rules or a platform's political-content policy.
4. Contact data and personal data
The contact data you bring to RapBooster must be collected lawfully. You are the data fiduciary for it and must follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and every other law that applies to you: tell people why you collect their data, process it only for that purpose, keep it accurate, and answer their requests to access, correct or erase it. Do not upload sensitive personal data you do not need.
5. Security and fair use
You must not:
- try to access another workspace, account or data you are not allowed to, or probe, scan or test the security of the Service without our written permission;
- interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service, or exceed the API rate limits;
- reverse-engineer the Service, copy it, or scrape it by automated means except through our public API;
- resell, sublicense or share access to the Service, or share sign-in details between people;
- use Rappy or another AI feature to create content this policy forbids, or to get around its safeguards.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate a suspected breach and, depending on how serious it is, warn you, slow or pause sending, remove content, suspend a number, sender, feature or workspace, or end your agreement, as our Terms set out. Where it is urgent or the law requires, we may act without notice and report illegal activity to the authorities. No fees are refunded for a suspension or termination under this policy. Providers such as Meta and telecom operators may also act on their own against a number or sender.
7. Reporting abuse
To report spam or abuse sent through RapBooster, write to [email protected] with the sender's number or address, the message and the date. We review every report.
